Cancellation Insights Dashboard — Power BI Template
Booking cancellations are one of the hardest costs to plan around — lost revenue, empty rooms, and last-minute staffing headaches. This template gives you a ready-built Power BI report to track and act on cancellation patterns, using your own booking data.

What’s included:

  • A single-page Power BI dashboard (.pbit template)
  • KPI cards for cancellation rate, high-risk reservations, and revenue at risk
  • A ranked list of your highest-risk upcoming bookings, with suggested actions
  • A detailed booking table with a cancellation probability field
  • A short setup guide (PDF) explaining exactly what data columns to connect

How it works:
On first open, Power BI will ask you to connect your own booking data (Excel or CSV). Once connected, every visual and measure updates automatically — no need to touch the underlying model or DAX formulas.

Please note: this template does not include a predictive model. It’s a dashboard for visualizing and exploring cancellation data — if you already have a cancellation probability score in your data, the dashboard will display it. Building that scoring model is a separate service, available on request.

Recommended fields — your data should ideally include:

For historical bookings (used to calculate cancellation rate and KPIs):

  • Arrival date
  • Average daily rate
  • Number of nights’ stay
  • Whether the booking was cancelled (yes/no)

For upcoming bookings (used for the risk-ranked list):

  • Arrival date
  • Average daily rate
  • Number of nights’ stay
  • Predicted cancellation probability, if you already have one from your own model (optional — see note above)

A few additional fields are optional and add extra detail to both — if you don’t have a specific field, keep the column present but leave the values blank, rather than removing the column entirely. The full breakdown is in the setup guide.

Format: Delivered as a .zip file containing the Power BI template (.pbit) and setup guide.

Requires Power BI Desktop (free) to open and use.
